As an Essential Service Provider of Water, Wastewater and Payment Processing we would like to update you that our Office personnel will continue to operate through the COVID-19 Virus outbreak. After being closed for a time, our lobby is open once again for in-person payments. We are still available by phone at 281-353-9756 to take payments or new water service set-up. We also have (2) payment drop boxes at our office. One is a drive thru by the employee parking lot and one is located to the right of our payment lobby door. Meanwhile, the activities of our Operators and other Field Staff have continued in full swing.

All of our service trucks are equipped with GPS systems, so we can route the closest service technician to any District problem. We have an emergency generator at our offices, so we will be able to meet your needs even if there is a power outage.

Most people do not know that drinking water is a limited and precious resource. Today, the water that we drink comes either from water wells or from surface water from our nearby lakes. Water wells are fed by the three major aquifers in the Texas upper Gulf Coast area. Over the last thirty years, the water in these aquifers has been declining, making it more difficult and expensive to develop ground water resources. Municipal Utility Districts in the Houston area have been required to make a conversion from ground water to surface water.
The North Harris County Regional Water Authority, The Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District and the West Harris County Regional Water Authority were created for the purpose of developing and bringing surface water to the areas that they serve.
For several years, the North and West Authorities have supplemented the ground water from the wells with surface water that is supplied to consumers. Lone Star is working currently to provide surface water to their customers as well. All three of these water authorities have websites and are linked above.
